What Methods of Sedation Are Available at Our Office?
Our team offers three types of sedation, including nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation, and IV sedation.
- Nitrous oxide. Nitrous oxide, or “laughing gas,” is a mild form of sedation that relaxes you while allowing you to remain conscious and in control. It is administered through a small mask placed over your nose, and its effects wear off within minutes after the procedure is complete.
- Oral conscious sedation. Oral conscious sedation involves taking an oral medication prior to your appointment that can make you drowsy enough to reduce discomfort during treatment.
- IV sedation. We also offer IV sedation, which is a deeper level of sedation that can help keep you relaxed and comfortable throughout the entire procedure. Dr. Siegelman is a board-certified anesthesiologist and has provided care for patients in the area for over two decades.
