Dr. Gluckman may be new to the practice, but he’s no stranger to providing high-quality in-office anesthesia services for dental patients of all types. Originally from Orange County California, Dr. Gluckman attended California State University, Fullerton for college where he graduated summa cum laude with the Miles D. McCarthy award given to the most outstanding graduating student pursuing a career in the health professions. Following graduation, he stayed in southern California to attend the UCLA School of Dentistry on a Dean’s Scholarship. Early on at UCLA, he was introduced to the field of dental anesthesiology and he’s been hooked ever since. While earning his DDS, Dr. Gluckman was awarded the prestigious Horace G. Wells Award for excellence in dental anesthesiology.
After completing dental school, Dr. Gluckman moved across the country to further his education and attend the three-year hospital based residency in dental anesthesiology at the NYU Langone Medical Center, a level 1 trauma center. During his training at NYU, Dr. Gluckman completed rotations in internal medicine, pediatrics and intensive care as well as completing over 2000 general anesthetics for a wide array of procedures including neurosurgery, vascular surgery, orthopedic surgery, cardiology and ENT. Additionally, he spent 6 months outside of the hospital OR to work in dental offices providing general anesthesia for special needs, phobic and pediatric patients. Dr. Gluckman’s unique experiences in both dentistry and in the hospital have prepared him to see patients with complex medical histories, special needs, those with severe anxiety and those requiring extensive dental treatment. His primary goal is always patient safety first and foremost, followed closely by providing a comfortable and pain and anxiety free environment for your visit.
Dr. Gluckman is also passionate about lifelong learning and has lectured both locally and nationally on various topics in anesthesia and medical management of complex medical conditions for dentists in the office setting.
Dr. Gluckman lives in northern New Jersey with his wife, an elementary school teacher. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, football, basketball, the Yankees and exploring all of the restaurants and everything else the area has to offer.
